Dr. Natthawat Hongkamjanakul

HEAD OF SPACE INNOVATION COLLABORATION AND CONNECTIVITY, GISTDA

Dr. Natthawat Hongkarnjanakul is currently acting Head of Space Innovation Collaboration and Connectivity, working at GISTDA, Thailand. He is responsible for coordinating the aerospace cluster in Thailand by innovation and technology driven. Natthawat started his career in GISTDA as a research engineer and innovation development specialist. He pioneered the aerospace mechanics field in GISTDA and founded the aerospace structures and materials unit, called ‘GALAXI’ in 2017. Many innovation projects allowed him to explore big challenges and gaps of aerospace industry, research, academic and policy in Thailand. Currently, he has essential roles to strategically scale up the aerospace innovation activities of GISTDA and Thailand to the world. Natthawat obtained his PhD from the Institut supérieur de l'aéronautique et de l'espace (ISAE-Supaéro), Toulouse, France. His specialization is aerospace structural mechanics focusing on composite simulation and testing. This really enables him to leverage the aerospace ecosystem in Thailand.
