𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐧 exhibition by Kongpop Benjanirat, a newly well know artist from Silpakorn University with his oil painting that has a complete sense of an ancient painting style representing a remarkable academic art skill. Additionally, in this exhibition artist deliberately expresses through his thought and perspective towards historical stories and certain artists from the 19th century.
The Oblivion exhibition was inspired by his interest in the forgotten history, meanwhile most of the historical stories was intended to be written and emphasized only on important events and that was a big impact of the change in each period of time. In fact, the words were composed on a straight line, dragging through a plenty of various profound historical story branches that have been neglected. And that is how a conflict started where artists and artworks were driven to be shown in historical pages in order to be a head of the change in idea and a particular artistic credo during each intervening time. Therefore, Kongpop himself attentively studied and researched for a glorious time of each academic artists during the 19th century. Creating from a fraction of information that has been left and turning an opposite aspect of a forgotten artistic history to become alive again under the truthful circumstances of the contemporary art.
