The amazing Thai-Indian Fun Fair is back in town on Feb 16 at SWU
The 5th Thai-Indian Fun-Fair event is returning to Srinakharinwirot University, Sukhumvit 23 in Bangkok on Saturday, 16th February 2019 from 1500-2200 hours. The annual popular event will be jointly organized by the Embassy of India, Srinakharinwirot University, and the Indian Social Club of Thailand that consist of 65 Associations of Indian Diaspora in Thailand.
The purpose of this event is to strengthen friendship and promote socio-economic and cultural relations between India and Thailand. It is expected that about 10,000 people including Students of Srinkarinwirot University will participate in the event.
The following dignitaries will join the opening ceremony on 16th Feb at 5pm:

The event opens at 3 pm and will run to 9pm. There are variety of activities planned at the fun fair such as Thai, Indian, & International Cuisine; Variety of Sales, Activities and Souvenir Stalls; Games for All Ages; Spectacular Cultural Program, Lifestyle & North East India Cultural Fashion Show; Interesting Activities and Promotional Stalls; Thai-Indian Marketplace; Indian Heritage Corners, India Thailand Quiz Contest; Special Folk Dance Troupe from Manipur North East India, India; Exhibitions; First Miss Thai-Indian Fun Fair Beauty Pageant 2019, Lucky Raffles, Prizes and Take Away.
Srinakharinwirot University hosted the first inaugural Thai-Indian Fun Fair in 2014 followed by Thammasat University (Tha Prachan Campus) in 2015 and Chulalongkorn University in 2016. Once again the popular event is returning to Srinakharinwirot University, Sukhumvit 23 in Bangkok. In 2018, SWU hosted the 4th Thai-Indian Fun Fair second time. This is the third time Srinakharinwirot University host annual fun fair at its prestigious campus.
"India Thailand relations goes back to centuries and we feel proud to join the people in Thailand to strengthen India Thailand friendship and bilateral relations,” said Susheel Kumar Saraff, Convener, Indian Social Club of Thailand. “We are also very keen to extend full support for the proposed Indian Study Centre at Srinakahrinwirot University,” he added.
