4OTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FACULTY OF DENTISTY, PSU

Nowadays, digital technology is involved with dental treatments in various fields. With digital technology, dental treatment procedures can be accelerated and treatment outcomes are more precise than in the past. The Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University focuses on utilizing digital technology for patient care. The Digital Dental Center (PSU-DDC) on the Phuket campus has been established to provide dental treatment services for patients in Phuket and for tourists from all over the world using full digital equipment facilities including oral scanners, computer tomography, digital radiographs, CAD/CAM machines, 3-D printers, etc. Moreover, the PSU-DDC aims to be a center for international professional continuing education regarding digital dentistry for domestic and international practitioners. In the future, the PSU-DDC will provide a international program for undergraduate and postgraduate education. Besides that, this coming October (18th-20th October 2023), the first international conference in digital dentistry will take place in Phuket, called the Andaman Dental Congress (ADC), to celebrate the inauguration of the PSU-DDC. Famous keynote and invited speakers from many countries will provide lectures in digital dentistry. Also, digital dentistry workshops will be provided at PSU-DDC.
