This September, the Goethe-Institut Thailand is proud to present a special event for all Beethoven fans: the Beethoven Festival Thailand 2015. It will be the first event of its kind in the country.
As we all know, Ludwig von Beethoven is one of the most influential and famous German composers. To honour this legendary man, the Goethe-Institut Thailand is organizing the Beethoven Festival Thailand 2015. The festival will bring together people who have been inspired by Beethoven’s work to offer you a variety of activities. It is aimed both at music students as well as the general public.
One of the highlights is “Beethoven in Motion”, which combines a piano performance of Beethoven’s renowned classical piece “Piano Sonata Nr. 23/“Appassionata” by the German-Korean pianist, Caroline Fischer and contemporary dance, choreographed by Thanapol Virulhakul (Democrazy Theatre Studio).
This will be followed by a talk on “Why Beethoven?” by three Beethoven fans: Bavornpong Suppasopon, music journalist; Prof. Dumrih Banawitayakit, Conductor and Dean of the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University; and Dr. Wen-Hui Lily Lin, Chair of the Piano Department at the College of Music, Mahidol University. They will share with us their knowledge of their favourite composer, recounting his life and the hardships he endured previous to becoming the person we identify as Beethoven today. They will also interpret some of Beethoven’s masterpieces. Come and exchange your views on September 1st at 8 p.m.
Moreover, we will be able to see music students compete against each other in a musical arena in “Piano Battle”: partly serious, partly experimental and partly for fun – Who will win? This is where our audience plays an important role by voting for their favourite participant.
To wrap up the festival, four winners of the Beethoven Competition Thailand from 2009-2013 are going to reunite and perform live for us on the last night of the festival. The Beethoven Festival Thailand 2015 offers something unique for everyone and takes place from September 1st – 4th, 2015 in the auditorium of the Goethe-Institut Thailand, Sathorn Soi 1.

กิจกรรมพิเศษในเดือนกันยายน สำหรับผู้ชื่นชอบเบโธเฟน สถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย ภูมิใจเสนอเทศกาลเบโธเฟนประเทศไทย 2558 เป็นครั้งแรก
เป็นที่ทราบกันดีว่า ลุควิค ฟาน เบโธเฟน เป็นหนึ่งในนักประพันธ์ชาวเยอรมันที่มีชื่อเสียงและมีอิทธิพลมากที่สุดคนหนึ่งของโลก เพื่อเป็นการยกย่องและรำลึกถึงคีตกวีเอกท่านนี้ สถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย จึงได้จัดเทศกาลเบโธเฟนประเทศไทย2558 ขึ้น โดยได้นำบุคคลที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากเบโธเฟนและผลงานของเขา เข้ามาร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในเทศกาลนี้ เพื่อจัดเป็นกิจกรรมหลากหลายที่น่าสนใจ เป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยมิได้มีแต่ความบันเทิงเท่านั้น แต่ยังสอดแทรกเนื้อหาสาระที่เป็นประโยชน์สำหรับบุคคลทั่วไป และผู้เรียนดนตรีอีกด้วย
หนึ่งในไฮไลท์ของเทศกาล ได้แก่ “Beethoven in Motion” ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงเปียโนผลงานเบโธเฟน “Piano Sonata No. 23/“Appassionata” โดยนักเปียโนชาวเยอรมัน-เกาหลี คาโรลีน ฟิชเชอร์ ผสมผสานกับการเสดงร่วมสมัย ออกแบบการแสดงโดยคุณ ธนพล วิรุฬหกุลจาก Democrazy Theatre Studio
ตามด้วยการเสวนา หัวข้อ “Why Beethoven” โดยวิทยากรสามท่าน ได้แก่ คุณบวรพงศ์ ศุภโสภณ ผู้จัดรายการวิทยุ ”สนทนาภาษาดนตรี“ อ. ดําริห์ บรรณวิทยกิจ คณบดี คณะดุริยางค์ศาสตร์ ม. ศิลปกร และ อ. ลินลี่ ลิน หัวหน้าภาควิชาเปียโน คณะดุริยางคศิลป์ ม. มหิดล ซึ่งล้วนเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญและแฟนพันธุ์แท้เบโธเฟน มาแบ่งปันความรู้เกร็ดเล็กเกร็ดน้อย เรื่องราวชีวิตของเบโธเฟนที่คุณไม่เคยรู้มาก่อนและความเป็นมากว่าจะมาเป็นคีตกวีเอก ชีวิตต้องผ่านอะไรมาบ้าง และความคิดเห็น ตีความผลงานชิ้นเอกของเบโธเฟน ท่านสามารถมาร่วมพูดคุยและแลกเปลี่ยนนานาทัศนะได้ ในวันที่ 1 กันยายน เวลา 20.00 น.
นอกจากนั้น เรายังจะได้เห็นนักดนตรีเยาวชนที่จะมาแสดงความสามารถโดยการดวลเปียโน ในรายการ “Piano Battle“ ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 3 กันยายน ผู้ชมสามารถร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ได้ โดยการโหวตให้คะแนนกับผู้เข้าแข่งขัน โดยผู้ชนะจะต้องได้รับคะแนนโหวตสูงสุดจากผู้ชม
ปิดท้ายเทศกาลฯ ด้วยการแสดงคอนเสิร์ต โดย ผู้ชนะการประกวดแข่งขันเบโธเฟนทั้งแบบเครื่องสายและเปียโน ตั้งแต่ปีพ.ศ 2552 ถึง 2556 ที่จะโคจรมาพบกันอีกครั้งเพื่อร่วมถ่ายทอดหลากหลายบทเพลงของคีตกวีเบโธเฟนผ่านเสียงดนตรีให้กับผู้ชมได้รับฟังกัน ในค่ำคืนสุดท้าย วันที่ 4 กันยายน เวลา 19.00 น. นับว่าเป็นเทศกาลที่ครบอรรถรส และหลากหลายหนึ่งเดียวในประเทศไทย ที่ทุกท่านไม่ควรพลาด
เทศกาลจะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 1 – 4 กันยายน 2558 ณ หอประชุมสถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย สาทร ซอย 1 โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย และไม่ต้องจองล่วงหน้า
